CLIFTON NEAL MILLER, Esq., Clifton Miller, age 57, is an attorney who is engaged in the private practice of law in Tullahoma, Tennessee.  He is a native of Estill Springs and graduated from Franklin County High School in 1984.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1988.  In 1991, he graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law where he earned his JD degree.  Mr. Miller joined the law firm of Henry & McCord in 1991 as an associate and later became partner in 1994.  Mr. Miller is the managing partner of the firm, now known as Henry, McCord, Bean, Miller, Gabriel & Marino, PLLC.

Mr. Miller served as Special Counsel for the Manchester Board of Education and Manchester City School System (2014-2018) for (1) abolishment of the Manchester Board of Education by the Board of Mayor and Alderman of Manchester; and (2) Liquor By The Drink litigation.

Mr. Miller was an Organizer of Southern Community Bank (fka The Bank of Tullahoma).  He served as an Independent Director (2004-2018), General Counsel (2004-2018), Corporate Secretary (2014-2018), and a member of the Executive Committee and the Audit Committee (2004-2018).

Mr. Miller served as an Independent Director for SmartBank (2018-2020) and a member of the Governance Committee and the ALCO Committee (2018-2020).

Mr. Miller served as counsel for Bumpus Shares, Inc., bank holding company, in the sale of Citizens Bank & Trust (2018-2020)

Mr. Miller is active in the Tullahoma community where he is a former member of Kiwanis and Tullahoma Sunrise Rotary Club, and a current member of the Tullahoma Noon Rotary Club.  He has served as Board Member (2007-2009), Treasurer (2008-2009), Secretary (2009-2010), Vice President (2010-2011), President-Elect (2011-2012) and President (2012-2013).  He has served on the executive board of the South Jackson Civic Center and as President for the Robert E. Lee Elementary School PTO. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church.  He previously served as Lay Leader (2009-2013) and also served on the Church’s Administrative Council, SPRC and Finance Committee.
